“Do We Really Talk ?” is a question I wonder about. While language exists as a strong tool for communication, words often fail us. So who is really talking? Are there other ways to talk, when words don't communicate? Does the body talk?

What began as an inquiry into the systems of language, very quickly broke apart when I looked at the gap between what was spoken and what was truly meant. This is determined by the nature of the relationships, the role we play and our own conditionings. Upon further inquiry, I realised that the body however does not lie. A glance, a touch will reveal much more than what is spoken many times. I entered into the world of movement and delved deeper into my own life with the fundamental question “do we really talk?”.
There is art, music, silence and everything in between. This project is an invitation, an invocation and a prayer from me to my own self, and to all the women in my life.
Who Am I? Am I my body? My eyes?
Whose language do we speak ?
What words do we learn?
